Systems and Tools We Use and Love

MomWebs – All or our websites are run on MomWebs. We’ve enjoyed great uptime and whenever we run into an issue, support is, frankly, freaking awesome – quick, friendly and understands our needs. I can’t recommend them enough.

Teamwork – We use Teamwork for project and team management. We think it’s the best around (and we’ve tried a ton!)

ActiveCampaign – Infusionsoft was way too powerful for our needs. We found that we didn’t use a number of the modules available. And those monthly fees – argh! So, we decided to change to ActiveCampaign and we’re glad we did. It’s intuitive and powerful and gives us just what we need to manage our contacts, autoresponders and funnels – all at a reasonable price. (We’ve saved a bundle over Infusionsoft!)

WordPress – Pam was a master HTML coder. She used to love creating websites… until CSS came along. (Yuck.) Now, it’s so easy to create your website using WordPress and a good theme (we use Avada – awesome builder!)

LeadPages – A landing page is essential for building your email list. We find LeadPages easy to use, powerful and loaded with templates to get you started with effective design.

WishList Member – We’ve used this WordPress membership site plugin for years to password protect and manage our many courses, and highly recommend it for easy of use and affordability.

PayPal – We used to have a merchant account (Moneris) and found that between the monthly fee + the transaction fees, we were giving away way too much of our profit. So, we moved to Thrivecart (above) connected with PayPal and have been happy with the switch.

Adobe – Photoshop and Illustrator are a staple on Pam’s desktop. She uses these programs every day. It’s worth the monthly fee, as the software is always up to date and the latest version.

Cognito Forms – Jotform used to be our form creator of choice but it started getting really expensive. (We use a lot of forms.) We came upon Cognito and like it even better. The editor is more flexible and at a much better price-point.

Slack – Slack is how our Adventurous Life communities stay in touch and we love it!

MyeCoverMaker – Sure, we work with Photoshop and Illustrator daily but nothing’s faster or better-looking for ecovers than this online program. Again, easy to use and affordable. (Affordability is mucho importanto when running a small biz!)
