As I drive back and forth to my mom’s, two hours each way, I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts. It’s reminded me that I’ve really got to do more of that. I’ve been getting so many nuggets!

One in particular has prompted me to connect with you to share. And it’s all about Pinterest.

“Pinterst?” you ask. “Isn’t that for brides-to-be and crafters?” No way!

I was listening to the Goal Digger Podcast with Jenna Kutcher (love this one) and she really made it hit home for me when she said, and I’m paraphrasing here, “Pinterest is a search engine disguised as a social media platform.”

Wow. You could’ve pushed me over with a feather. I never really thought about it but when I search on Google, oftentimes, it’s Pinterest pins that pop up in the search result.

I definitely hadn’t been using Pinterest much at all. Sure. I’d set up my business profile and had a few boards but I wasn’t posting new pins — I hadn’t been in my account for ages.

No longer. I’m not happily pinning about my blog posts, my programs, and general helpful tips and ideas for people to repin and follow. I’ve been doing it for a week now and you know what? I’ve already seen an increase in traffic to my websites and more and more sign-ups for my opt-ins, which is growing my list.

Benefit #1

Get more exposure for your brand.

Benefit #2

Get more traffic to your website, blog, landing pages (wherever you point people!)

Benefit #3

Grow your list! (We LOVE this one!)

Brilliant! So, a huge shout out to Jenna for giving me the nudge to back onto Pinterest. It’s really making a difference!

If you jump into Pinterest and start pinning again, I’d love to hear your results too.
